The Deaconess Foundation is an over 150-year-old institution and social enterprise. Together with the disability services operator Rinnekoti and our subsidiary the Diakonissalaitoksen Hoiva Ltd and Caritas palvelut Ltd, we provide effective social welfare and health services that improve the day-to-day lives of our clients.
Our work is guided by a common set of values. We aim to be the most courageous workplace in the industry for people who, in addition to their skills, carry their hearts to work with them. Every one of us works to further human dignity.
We develop our services together with our clients and partners. Civic activity is a strong feature of our work. Everyone is valuable to us and deserves to be taken into account.
We employ 2 300 people nationwide and our combined turnover in 2019 was €160 million. We are also owners of the Diakonia College of Finland and the Diaconia University of Applied Sciences.
Our goal is a life of dignity for all.
